Fielding Robinson was established by Mal Fielding and Alex Robinson in July 2016 to offer its clients independence and flexibility. Prior to co-founding Fielding Robinson, Mal was a senior partner in leading Australian firms.

Mal has been assisting clients in the Australian construction industry achieve their objectives since 1993.

Mal acts for the full spectrum of industry participants, across all sectors of the industry, offering commercially focussed value for money advice.

Alex Robinson

Alex Robinson

Prior to co-founding Fielding Robinson, Alex was the NSW Practice Group Head for the Construction Group at one of Australia's largest law firms.

Alex has particular expertise in litigation and dispute resolution in the property, construction, engineering, resources and infrastructure project sectors having acted for key participants in Australia, the UK and the Middle-East. Alex also has expertise in commercial disputes (including real estate and joint-venture disputes) and accepts instructions in some contentious private client matters.

Alex is consistently recognised as a leading lawyer in AFR surveys and Doyle's guide.

Alex has been a member of the Law Council of Australia Construction and Infrastructure Law Committee since 2014.

Linda Cotter

Linda has more than 20 years' experience working in law firms as a legal secretary. Linda is our Office Manager and a key part of the Fielding Robinson team.

Laura Abbonizio

Laura Abbonizio

Laura has expertise in contract drafting, amendment and negotiation.

Laura has over 10 years' experience in leading commercial negotiations for procurement contracts in the infrastructure, aviation, and utilities sectors in Australia, the UK, South Africa, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Laura has represented various clients in a number of complex commercial and contractual matters including major infrastructure upgrades in the aviation industry, construction, infrastructure and engineering services.

Lindsey Chapman

Lindsey has a Masters of Law from Sydney University and has practised as a solicitor for more than 8 years.

Lindsey has a broad range of experience across private, corporate and government practice.
At Fielding Robinson Lawyers, Lindsey primarily practises in the area of dispute resolution and litigation of contract disputes, in particular acting on behalf of clients in the construction industry.
